Fertility Negligence and IVF Law

Our team is knowledgeable on medical negligence, improperly stored or discarded embryos, fertility clinic errors and omissions, and negligence lawsuits against clinics and labs involved in IVF.

We are also aware of issues related to pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT-A) in the United States in recent years, which has been publicly criticized.

Fertility Industry Accountability

Fertility is a very complex subject that is influenced by several factors, including age, genetics, overall well-being and lifestyle. Dealing with infertility can be emotionally challenging if not exhausting. Innovations in medications, treatments and genetic testing, are being regularly disseminated making fertility treatment decisions confusing, uncertain and downright terrifying. How do we know what information is accurate, false or misleading?

We trust our doctors to know the information to help us make well-reasoned decisions through the course of a fertility journey. Doctors must trust pharmaceutical, medical device and genetic laboratory services to provide them with the most accurate and up-to-date scientific information related to their products and services. But what if the doctors are not provided with accurate information? What if doctors are receiving misrepresentations, that they, in turn, provide to patients in guiding them through critical and life-altering decisions? We don’t need to wonder “what if.” We know that it is happening every day and we want to help you navigate this difficult journey.

We are also investigating the misuse of add-ons in fertility treatments, including preimplantation genetic testing or PGT-A. Please reach out to discuss further.

Fertility Document Requests

In practicing fertility law, we have discovered that our clients often have a difficult time getting their medical records and documents. They may be looking to obtain additional information to get a better understanding of their care, advocate for treatments, determine next steps, and/or can seek a second opinion. However, they are not sure how to go about getting these records or how to push when they don't receive everything they are looking for. For this reason, we have researched the law regarding the obtaining of fertility records and we are available to help. Please contact us to learn how we may be able to assist you.
